Hemingray Question of the Week:
Q. I have found several Hemingray 40, 42, 43, & 45's. Some of the insulators have a large raised number on the top of the insulator. Is this of any significance? Thanks. - Matt
A. Hi Matt, it is believed that these large numbers on the dome were either shop or mold numbers, to help identify where the insulator was produced in the factory. It's interesting to note that only the dome number "1" has been found on CD 154's, and only the dome numbers 4, 5, 7, and 8 have been found on CD 152's. - Christian
