| CD 164 HEM [120]: (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY/PATENTED MAY 2 1893 (R-Skirt) PETTICOAT SDP
This month we're featuring a rather common style (the Hemingray No.20), but in an embossing I feel is rather uncommon. The majority of the CD 164's you see with this embossing actually say "H.G.CO." rather than "HEMINGRAY". Also, note the "PATENTED" rather than the more common "PATENT". This embossing was used only briefly, when they were transitioning over from using H.G.CO. on their insulators to using HEMINGRAY and style numbers. It's a neat embossing variant that can be had for just a few dollars (in aqua).
