Insulator Overview

This style is nicknamed the "Columbia". It was officially Hemingray No.64 in the 1915 Western Electric catalog, but no specimens exist embossed with this style number. The May 12, 1891 patent embossed on this insulator is for design of the eyes for the tie wire.
