| This is a the granddaddy of the Hemingray break knob style spools. It is about the same size as a CD 185 mine insulator. It was originally numbered the No.8 spool and later renumbered to No.108. While catalog drawings show these as being embossed with "Hemingray", all of the known CD 1090 specimens produced by Hemingray are unembossed.
