This is a small break knob spool produced by Hemingray. Its style number was originally No.1, and was later renumbered to the No.100. Despite the catalog drawings showing these embossed with "Hemingray", no such embossed versions are known to exist. Based on mold and embossing characteristics, Hemingray may have also manufactured these for S.B.T.&T.CO. and THE E.S.G. & CO.

Mold Variation

This is the embossed S.B.T.&T.Co. spool variant. In addition to the wire groove being slightly smaller and higher up, this variant is also slightly taller and the nail hole is much smaller as well.
